COLA for active employees -- 2009 Consumer Price Index (CPI-w)

A COLA for retirees set forth in House Bill 4876
Maintain
insurance benefit and premium levels at their current levels
while encouraging improvements in vision, hearing, and dental
coverage for the State Health Plan/Repeal of Smoker Surcharge

State match to the
deferred compensation program on behalf of permanent full time
employees
Step Pay Plan for
active state employees
Per diem and
Mileage reimbursements be set at Federal levels
Allow regular
employees to accrue unlimited sick leave
Allow employees to
donate sick leave to specific co-workers when authorized
Allow
employees/retirees discount admission to state parks and
recreation facilities
Allow
employees/retirees free or discount classes at state supported
institutions of higher learning when space is available
Increase the
retirement formula
Increase sick leave
for additional service time at retirement from 90 to 120 days
EIP Home Health
Benefit
Allow dependents of
retirees to join EIP when the retiree dies (3-6 month window)
